Happy Diwali… and such

What a wonderful Diwali weekend we had!! You can't even imagine! So let me tell you about the lovely vacation at my friend's house in the hills of some place in India.

myy... so nice to get out of the city for a bit sometimes! Wake up from the morning sun tickling your nose and to the sound of birds and nature instead of construction and cars!

The smell of fresh coffee... walking barefoot through the beautifully arranged garden... i dont know if it's just the fresh air, but it feels like paradise...

Anywho. it's not like we just got there. let me tell you that, getting into paradise is actually harder than we expected. it took us 6 hours to only get going. as usual. pfft... my Indian people. always so chilled out >: o grrr... so after some last minute shopping, several nervous breakdowns and a very intense rikshaw fight we finally made it on route to our weekend domicile! HAHA =D A few moments later though... the car started to make weird sounds and was kinda swinging from on side to the other... that's when we found out we had a flat tire. but worry not! luckily we could just stop on the spot cause due to a killed cow or villager or so on the highway, the rest of the village started a riot on named highway. so we had 2 hours in no moving traffic to change our tire and hide in the car from angry villagers. Then finally the police took over and the toll gates opened again. yiiiha! 30 minutes later we reached my friend's vacation house. And just as we settled in and started to relax to some nice music and games, the whole area got an electricity blackout. hmm... i still dont know if it was our loud music that took too much energy or if it were the sneaky villagers cutting a cable... anyway. after several time of me panicking and my friends telling me stories about "this is exactly how horror movies start!" the lights turned on again and the vacation could finally start.

Thank God.

Tourned out we had a pretty eventful but wonderful Diwali! how beautiful is India all glittered up in little lights and fireworks! i love this festival! Especially Lakshmi day with all the gambling and such hehe and not only cause my name is Lakshmi ; )

Happy new year! May God bless you lots and lots!
